Urulaikezhanghu Karakari/Potato Curry


Ingredients:

1.Potato - 4
2.Onion - 1(Medium)
3.Tomato - 2(Small)
4.Ginger - 1 inch piece
5.Garlic - 3 cloves
6.Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
7.Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp or Adjust to your taste
8.Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
9.Mustard - 1 tsp
10.Curry leaf - small qty
11.Oil - 1 tbs
12.Salt - Needed qty




Procedure:

1. Cook potatoes first and then peel the skin.

2. Cut them in to pieces.Keep aside.

3. Chop onion, tomato, ginger and garlic.Keep aside.

4. Now, add oil in a pan and then add mustard. Allow it to pop.

5. Now add chopped onion, tomato, ginger and garlic and saute till the onion and garlic turns golden brown.

6. Now add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and salt to the contents in the pan.

7. Mix them all well.

8. Add the cooked cut potatoes to the pan. Mix well.

9. Reduce the flame and then close the pan with lid.

10. Let the contents cook on low flame for 20 minutes.

11. After 20 minutes, take out from the stove and garnish with curry leaf.

12. Serve with rice or any Indian bread.
