This morning she commented on this post of mine asking me to check her blog to know the winner of her event. I was really surprised when I saw my name in the place of winner. Jaleela from CookBook Jaleela, hosted her first event & giveaway "Bachelor Feast" in Dec-2012. She and three other judges selected my "Beetroot & Urad Dhal Poriyal" for Best Lunch Recipe Award.

Another recipe of mine "Chapathi Veg Roll" was selected for Well Presented Award and a Giveaway. 

I received a small handy emergency lamp as her gift. It is a very useful gift. I loved it.

Won Aps Kitchen's First Giveaway

Aparna from Aps Kitchen announced her first giveaway in April and her Darling Daughter "M" chose me as the winner of the giveaway. I'm so happy to have won this giveaway. 

Aparna sent me the book through courier with her hand written letter. Her handwriting is so beautiful and she spent time to decorate the letter with stickers. She took atmost care to pack the book with gift wrapper. Thanks Dear for your letter and the wonderful book. No doubt, the book is going to be useful in many ways!

Won Pari's 300th Post Giveaway

I was supposed to post about this win last month itself. Even I promised Pari that I would write a blog post soon on this. But I could not keep up  my promise. My Lil "S" is keeping me very busy these days.When  Pari posted the winners for the giveaway, I was so happy to see my name in the winner's place. This is the first giveaway I won this 2012. Thanks Pari for the wonderful "New Indian" cookbook by Anjum Anand.

Pari is a wonderful food blogger. You can see traditional recipes to very new and innovative recipes in her blog. She is doing "Only" event series every month with a giveaway. This lovely blogger took so much effort to send this book to me. Pari immediately ordered the book on the day she received my address but unfortunately, the online shop in which she ordered the book cancelled the order after couple of days saying they won't ship the book to the address provided. She called me and told about the situation. She discussed the ways to send the book. I was not sure why the order was actually cancelled. I order many things for my daughter regularly and getting it delivered to our place. Then only my husband said, it might be because of the recent change in our area pincode. Finally, she sent the book through a nice gentleman. Thanks to him too:-)

Pari didn't sent the book as such. She spent time to pack the book in a beautiful way. The book was covered with a thick wrapper and then with a nice looking gift wrapper. She sent  it with her wishes as well. I loved the way she cared to pack the book. Thanks Pari for all the effort you took. The book is really going to be very useful. I'l post the recipes from the book soon. Thank you so much Pari:-)

I entered their contest few months back and even forgot about it. A couple of weeks before, I received their email saying that I won their summer contest. Naturally, I was surprised and excited to know about my win. I received a beautiful looking, very useful traditional Indian Spice Box (Masala dabba) or Anjarai petti in Tamil from them this weekend.
