Sweet Ragi Idiyappam

This dish can be prepared in less than 30 minutes. This is delicious as well healthy food. I'm sure kids would love this.



Ingredients :

1. Ragi Idiyappam (Click to see the procedure) - 2 Cups (Broken idiyappam)
2. Coconut - 1/2 Cup (Grated fresh)
3. Sugar - 1/2 Cup (Adjust to your taste)
4. Ghee - 4 tsp
5. Cashew Nut - 5 (broken)
6. Cardamom - 2

Procedure :

1. Add ghee to a pan and then roast cashew and cardamom.

2. Now, add the grated coconut and fry in low heat till coconut turns little golden.(Take care while frying coconut)

3. Add this to the idiyappam and mix well with a spoon.

4. Finally, add sugar and serve.

Great post. We used to make Idiyappams at home in Kerala, or more accurately, my mom:) I havent learned the technique but felt happy to see it featured here.

this is a great recipe. I have never experimented with idiyappams, I just toe the line and make it with rice. But these ones with ragi look absolutely perfect. Thanks for sharing
