Karasev

Karasev is another savory treat like murukku. This is a wonderful tea time snack. To prepare karasev, we need special gadjet called karasev kattai/ karasev maker plate. As I don't have that one with me, I just used murukku presser.

Ingredients :

1. Besan flour - 1 Cup
2. Rice flour - 1 Cup
3. Pepper - 1 tsp (Ground coarsely)
4. Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 tsp
5. Ghee - 4 tbs
6. Salt - Needed qty
7. Oil - For frying

Procedure :

1. Combine all the ingredients together (except oil), sprinkle a little water and make a soft dough.

2. Heat oil and stuff the dough in a murukku maker and directly press in oil.

3. Fry till crisp and drain excess oil on a kitchen towel.

4. Break the murukku in to small pieces.

5. Store in an air-tight container.
