Vechu Parota with Step-by-Step Pictures / வீச்சு பரோட்டா

This is different from usual layered parota. This thin and crispy parota can be any Veg Kurma/Gravy.



Ingredients :

1. Maida / All purpose flour - 1.5 Cup
2. Salt - Needed Qty
3. Sugar - 1/2 tsp
4. Warm Milk - 1/4 Cup
5. Water
6. Oil


Procedure :

1. Combine all the ingredients together except water and oil.

2. Now, add water a little by little to the flour while kneading. Make a smooth dough.

3. Knead for atleast 10 minutes.

4. Now, add 1/2 tbs oil to the dough. Knead well. 



5. Cover the dough with a clean damp towel for atleast 3 hours.

6. After three hours, knead once. Divide dough in to equal sized balls.

7. With a rolling pin roll the dough ball as thin as possible.



8. Heat a tawa. Place the thinly rolled parota. 



9.Cook for a minute. Flip to other side.

10. Fold the opposite sides. Apply oil. 



11. Cook both the sides till the parota is crisp.


12. Serve with any Veg Kurma/Gravy.
