Pepper - Ginger Juice

This is what I normally drink whenever I'm down with cold and related illness like headache, sore throat etc... This is prepared with pepper powder, cumin seeds, cinnamon powder, honey and ginger. I'm sure, you would definitely feel better within an hour of taking this drink. This is suitable for adults. I'm not recommending this for kids, because they would feel it very hot as we are using pepper & ginger.

Pepper :

Pepper plays an major role in home remedy. This has effect on common cold, indigestion and loss of appetite.

Cumin :

Cumin seeds have antiseptic property. They are beneficial if cold is accompanied by fever. They help in reducing throat infection.

Cinnamon :

This prevents cold from being chronic. Also reduces sore throat.

Ginger and Honey :

When ginger and honey mixed together they give immediate relief from cough, sore throat and running nose.

Ingredients :

1. Water - 1 Cup
2. Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
3. Cumin Seeds - 1/4 tsp
4. Cinnamon Powder - A pinch
5. Honey - 2 tsp
6. Ginger - 1 inch piece (cut in to smaller pieces & crushed)

Procedure :

1. Bring water to boil along with all the ingredients except honey.

2. Boil well and then filter.

3. Add honey. Mix well.

4. Drink hot.

Dosage : Drink once or twice in a day.

Note : If you don't want to use cinnamon powder, you can avoid that.
